These cuties (male and female) started showing up at the feeder last week. They’re very small and apparently fearless, and anytime they’re not chirping they’re eating. And they’re besties –whenever one shows up the other arrives within a few seconds.
Nearly a year later, the original pair have been joined by a dozen or two more of their kind. I don’t know if that means they’re all in some kind of love polyhedron, or are just good friends. But they’re wonderful to watch throughout the year.
