DA NANG, VIETNAM, July 14, 2022 — The day begins at sunrise on Da Nang’s Mỹ Khê Beach. The midday sun is too brutal for any significant outdoor activity — running, biking, even laying on a beach seems out of the question on a typical afternoon. Instead, the residents of the city get their exercise in at the start of the day. But first, many assemble on Mỹ Khê beach to pay homage to the daily miracle of the sunrise over the sea.
