AUSTIN, TX, JANUARY 10, 2025 – My Pixel 9 Pro arrived yesterday and despite it being a wet and chilly overcast day, I couldn’t wait to test out the phones camera, particularly it’s 5X optical zoom and up to 30X AI -reinforced digital zoom.

I’m amazed by the quality of the shots I was able to get shooting through a window on a fairly miserable day. The Zoom enhance feature by itself makes this pricy item a must-have for anyone who loves to practice photography on a phone. I haven’t decided yet whether it actually obviates the need for my big heavy Lumix camera, with its 60X optical zoom, but that result is not out of the question.
I’ll do a proper review of this amazing phone camera soon. In the meantime enjoy some more of the first set of pictures I’ve taken with it. The ones that follow are all clickable if you want to take an up close look at them.
