Dear Reader,
Right Where I Belong is a collection of my travel photography, true stories from my life, fiction, occasional reviews, and a surplus of frivolous observations about life and other potentially noteworthy topics.
David Strom, a former colleague and a great friend, suggested that I rein in my self-indulgence and make this blog a bit more predictably about something. That was sensible advice, but I’ve chosen to ignore it — first because I’m a pensioner and don’t have to follow sensible advice any more, and second because I believe that the thing I’m trying to get to or discover through this blog is hidden somewhere in that nasty snarl of subject matters.
I travel, and write, and take pictures, and sometimes I try to figure out why. Memento mori. Memento vivere. I’ll be home soon.
Kindly let me know what you think of this.
Thanks —
